The Honorable John Thomas Stelzer presides over the Williams County Common Pleas Court, General and Domestic Relations Divisions. Civil
Civil Cases include personal injury (accident) cases, employment disputes, contract disputes, workers compensation appeals along with medical and legal malpractice.
Criminal
Felony Criminal Cases include any offense where the possible penalty is over one (1) year in prison and a $1,000 fine. Arson, Burglary, Breaking and Entering, Theft, Fraud, Armed Robbery, Murder and Drug cases are just a few that fall under this category.
Domestic
The Domestic Relations Division of the Common Pleas Court hears all cases concerning the termination of marriages filed in Williams County, Ohio. These include:
- Annulment
- Dissolution
- Divorce
- Issuance of civil protection orders arising out of domestic violence
- Legal separation
In the event your domestic relations situation involves allocation of parental rights and responsibility or child support proceedings for those parents who have not been married to one another, the Williams County Common Pleas Court - Juvenile Division retains jurisdiction.
