Welcome to the Williams County Parks website. Park properties are owned by the Williams County Commissioners, and managed by the Williams County Park Board. The Board works to maintain the current state of our parks as well as envisioning improvements for the future. This is done by coordinating construction projects, implementing rehabilitation of existing facilities, and proposing ideas for future improvements. There are no employees of our parks system, the future and well being of our parks will rely on our board and volunteer efforts. They have been entrusted with 221 acres of park land, trails, and amenities at our assorted locations.
Community spaces, like our parks, provide an environment where people can get together and engage. Parks generally have spaces and facilities that are frequently used to host events such as birthday parties, family reunions, graduation parties, and weddings. Parks foster good relationships with friends, family, and the general public by providing space and activities that bring people together. They allow children to play and engage with each other, and they allow adults to convene, all of which helps build a stronger sense of community. A robust park system forges strong, stable communities.
