Public Service Announcement



The Ohio Benefits system we use to determine eligibility and issue benefits for Food Assistance (SNAP/EBT), Medicaid, and TANF will be unavailable from 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, through 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27, so that a major technical upgrade can be completed. If you need to apply, re-certify, or renew your benefits for cash, food, or Medicaid assistance during this time, you can submit a paper application to Williams County Department of Job and Family Services in the drop box outside of the agency. County staff will not have access to data about your case while the system is offline. If you submit a paper application, it will be screened to see whether you need expedited food assistance, but it will not be processed until after the system is back online. If you need food while the system is unavailable, please contact your local food pantry or you may visit our website for a complete list at under -Public Assistance-SNAP/TANF -Resource list.   

If you have a self-service portal account this will also be unavailable during the system outage.


Options to turn in your verifications or application(s):

  1. You may also email your application or verification to our office at Pictures can be taken of documents as well by phone and e-mailed to address provided.
  2. There is a drop box outside of the agency
  3. There is a drop box at 126 Empire St. Montpelier, OH at the Hope Center.  
  4. You can fax your document to 419-636-8843
  5. Mail


You can print application(s) at or they can be picked up outside of the agency
